The picture describes the unit well. It's a well built device and is quite solid in nature. It is exactly as described; my only concerns:

- For hanging ties, specifically wider ties, the angle for the ties and the fact that it is purely metal (no sponge for "grip"), the ties seem to compress a bit which over time may lead to wrinkles.

- Some belts, those with a smaller clasp or hook, don't fit on the hooks. If you have belts just like the ones pictures with wide open buckles it is fine but otherwise you'll likely end up draping your belts over the whole thing.

These are minor nits that are "functioning as intended" ... something to consider when looking at this versus other types of tie racks.

Whitmor 6058-90 Supreme Garment Rack, Chrome

I bought this rack to hold my clothes during a move from one state to another. Included in this purchase was the advertised canvas cover.
The rack is made of sturdy materials and survived the trip in a UHaul truck without incident. It rolls fine when loaded to the gills and the bottom rack was useful for shoes.
With the cover on, the top rack is pretty much useless for storage because the cover slides down and rest on that rack. Any items you want to store on top would be resting on the cover itself.
One thing to be aware of: The rack is held together only by friction and gravity. The two racks slip over the four poles and are held in place only by their weight; no screws or bolts secure them.
This means that the unit cannot be lifted by the racks, otherwise, the entire thing falls apart. They can be safely lifted by the poles and this will keep everything together. While this design sounds flimsy, it really is pretty strong once assembled correctly.
The only reason I did not give this item 5 stars was because of the poorly written instructions. As usual, these were written by blind individuals who speak no known language. Consequently, you are left to figure out how the parts assemble correctly. Even a simple thing such as which way the racks fit; with their edges up or down? The picture certainly doesn't make that clear. This is crucial because the corner tubes of the rack are tapered slightly (not obvious at first glance) which locks the unit together.
REMEMBER THIS: the plastic inserts that fit into the four corners of the racks are also tapered tubes; their sides are NOT parallel. It is this taper that allows the racks to compress against the four poles and lock the pieces in place. This important fact was overlooked in my set of instructions, but is perhaps the most important point to understand.

The cover, also well made but with one major cost-cutting flaw. It uses buttons to secure the front opening instead of a zipper. Consequently, it's not dust proof since it hangs open between the widely spaced buttons.

A loud thud on the front porch followed by a quick ring of the doorbell could only mean the UPS man has left us another treasure. It was just like dragging dead body in the house. This was a good sign. Being heavy meant I was halfway to discovering my our garment rack was indeed heavy duty... and not even out of the box yet. "Tell you mother to hold off on dinner and clear the living room kids, we're putting this thing together,now". One of the triplets whipped out his razor knife and had that box open it 30 seconds flat. Seizing the opportunity as another life lesson to the boys, first order of business was to toss away the assembly instructions. 1.- because "we're men, and nobody tells us how stuff goes together." And b. - even though there were no written words on the instruction, I suspect the drawings were done in Chinese anyway. `Sides, me and the boys slapped that sucker together in 19 minutes flat. I stood back to admire our work and thought "This is one quality unit". The duty part of the heavy-duty was next proven as the boys immediately employed the rolling shelf as an indoor trolley car. They run that thing all through the house, taking turns pushing. The hanging bar made for a prefect passenger handhold as the boys stepped on an off in the dining room. They loaded the shelves with books, pillows and the cat. Nearly knocked over Mom during a kitchen stop where they hung as many pots and pans on the hooks they could get a hold of.
Five stars all the way, baby!! This thing is the best Amazon deal ever. Incredibly, I find it selling for more than twice what I paid. My second one is on the way. I can't wait for the next thud.

Range Kleen WKT4162 66-Battery organizer with Removable Tester

This is a handy item that I wish I'd had a long time ago. It is made of durable plastic and has a built-in battery tester that will test every type of battery the set holds.

The battery tester can be a little clumsy to use and I think it could have been better implemented as a sort of 'vice' where you place the battery on its side and push the tester end up to the bottom of the battery. Instead, this has an L-shaped arm that lifts up and you have to carefully place the battery between the contact on the bottom of the device and the top of the arm. This because more frustrating when you're using C and D sized batteries.

It also has a compartment that pulls out and holds small watch batteries.

I also wish there were a better way to present the rack. You can either lay it flat or attach it to a wall. Laying it flat consumes a lot of space, but I can't attach this to a wall in my apartment or at my office, so there's no other choice. Perhaps if they could simply have widened the bottom so it could be a sort of "foot" that would allow the device to stand freely on its own.

That said, the price is not bad and if you have a lot of batteries in a drawer or box somewhere, this will make finding a set of batteries that aren't dead or half dead much easier.
