By reading the description and looking at the product pictured you think you are getting a nice sturdy unit. Not quite so. The shelves have no support whatsoever. Well, there does appear to be a flimsy piece of cardboard at the front of each shelf. It's only about an inch wide. Anything placed beyond and inch in causes the shelf to dip drastically. I guess if you're only going to put a towel or two on an shelf it might work. But if you put something such as a purse on the shelf, as pictured, it would dip halfway into the next shelf. It would probably work if you were using it for baby clothes or something equally light. If you're looking for something sturdier, try this, which is also sold by Amazon: Canvas Three Shelf Organizer. While shorter, its shelves are well supported and also a bit wider and much deeper so there is basically the same amount of storage space.
